@cstross@wandering.shop @maya_b@hachyderm.io I never understood why some countries are so hung up on their "own currency". I've lived in places where they used guilders, dollars, pounds and punts. I went to the czech republic two years ago. What a royal pain in the hole. Lovely place but that goddamn money. Now, though, I can fly from Ireland home to the Netherlands, drive into Germany and Belgium and even further afield, and never have to worry about cash or how much 150 Fukkis is in Real Money. Thank gawd.
