@flargh@mastodon.social I came to realize that a number of my early school experiences have significantly shaped who I am today.

My kindergarten teacher asked me where the shoulders were on this drawing we were doing. It put me off of any sort of artistic endeavors.

I was taken out of advanced math in 4th grade because I asked if I could add 13+9 and get the same answer. The teacher didn’t think I was getting the idea. It put me off from doing advanced math.
