It's true that there are many different ethnic groups in Iran- Kurds, Balochis, Azeris, Lurs, and more. The first choice for all these groups would be to have equality and greater autonomy in their own regions within the framework of a peaceful transition to democracy in Iran. The absolutely last choice for all these groups would be to take up arms and try to carve out their own independent regions, causing an inevitable spiral of violence and a destabilised Iran.
