The Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Motii, met with the Special Representative of China, Xiao Yong, to discuss the development of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and China, recent developments in the region, and the latest situation regarding the Pakistani military incursions into Afghanistan. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Motii stated that Afghanistan prioritizes peaceful resolution of issues over conflict and seeks to prevent escalation, while also asserting its right to defend its homeland and people. Meanwhile, the Chinese representative expressed condolences and sympathy from the Chinese government to the families of the Afghan victims killed as a result of the Pakistani military attacks. Mr. Xiao Yong said that China wants the ongoing issues between Afghanistan and Pakistan to be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
