A campaign to combat locust infestations has been launched by the Department of Agriculture, Balkh province, in several districts of the province. This program is being implemented in the districts of Zari, Sholgara, Chahar Kanta, and Chamtal, which are threatened by this pest, and will continue until the risk is completely eliminated. کمپاین مبارزه علیه آفت ملخ از سوی ریاست زراعت، ولایت بلخ در شماری از ولسوالی‌های این ولایت آغاز گردید. این برنامه در ولسوالی‌های زاری، شولگره، چهارکنت و چمتال که در معرض تهدید این آفت قرار دارند، اجرا شده و تا رفع کامل خطر ادامه خواهد داشت.
