I emphasized the importance of positioning health not only as a response mechanism, but as a cause and result to peace, stability and recovery. I welcomed the World Bank’s evolving FCV Strategy and discussed how @WHO can further strengthen its role as a key partner. This builds on our strong collaboration across the @WHOEMRO Region, particularly in Afghanistan, Gaza, Sudan, Yemen and beyond, enhancing resilience, advancing the health workforce and delivering impact where it is needed most. I look forward to advancing this partnership, building on a decade of collaboration in addressing health needs across emergency-affected countries in the Region. The Prime Minister’s Economic Deputy has announced that plans for a commercial market and a modern factory for electricity generation from waste were discussed at a meeting of the inter-ministerial investment committee in Kabul’s first district. The Deputy stated that proposals for the assembly and gradual production of tractors and agricultural machinery in Kandahar, Herat, and Balkh provinces were also presented at the meeting. A campaign to combat locust infestations has been launched by the Department of Agriculture, Balkh province, in several districts of the province. This program is being implemented in the districts of Zari, Sholgara, Chahar Kanta, and Chamtal, which are threatened by this pest, and will continue until the risk is completely eliminated. کمپاین مبارزه علیه آفت ملخ از سوی ریاست زراعت، ولایت بلخ در شماری از ولسوالی‌های این ولایت آغاز گردید. این برنامه در ولسوالی‌های زاری، شولگره، چهارکنت و چمتال که در معرض تهدید این آفت قرار دارند، اجرا شده و تا رفع کامل خطر ادامه خواهد داشت. A high-level joint delegation from Uzbekistan’s state and private sectors, led by Governor Abdulrazakov of the Namangan province, has arrived in Kabul to boost trade between the two countries and explore investment opportunities in Afghanistan. According to a press release from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate, the delegation, which includes the Deputy Governors of Namangan province and more than 30 of the province's largest traders and investors, will participate in trade talks in addition to meetings with officials of the Islamic Emirate. The ministry stated that the delegation from Uzbekistan is also scheduled to travel to Balkh province and hold meetings with local officials and members of the private sector there.
