New Report on the Construction Progress of the Overpass and Underpass at Baraki Intersection

Construction of the underpass at Baraki Intersection, initiated by the Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring in the month of Jawza 1404 (solar year), has reached 80 percent progress and is expected to be completed by mid-1405.

Meanwhile, construction of the overpass at the same intersection began in the month of Hoot 1404 and has so far achieved 15 percent progress. It is expected to be completed by the end of the current year.

The underpass, extending from Naderia High School toward the traffic intersection, measures 470 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and 5.5 meters in depth.

Similarly, the overpass, extending from Dahan-e Bagh Intersection toward Parwan Du Intersection, measures 700 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and 8 meters in height, and is supported by 247 pillars.

The total estimated cost of the underpass and overpass at Baraki Intersection is 1.5 billion Afghanis.

Designed in accordance with international standards, this project is located at a key junction connecting central parts of Kabul city and linking the northern and western zones. Upon completion, it will play an important role in reducing traffic congestion and supporting sustainable urban development.

Hafiz Mohammad Yusuf Hammad, a spokesman for Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) said that the affected provinces—Kabul, Kapisa, Parwan, Panjshir, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Zabul, Ghor, Samangan, and Sar-i-Pul—experienced severe weather during this time.

In Faryab, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Kunar, and Laghman, six people were martyred and seven others wounded.

The disaster has also left 139 houses completely destroyed and 394 houses partially destroyed across these provinces.

The opening of connecting roads between Parwan Third – Badam Bagh – Pol-e-Teknik: A step towards reducing congestion

The new connecting roads between the Parwan Third intersection and Badam Bagh, and continuing from Badam Bagh to the Pol-e-Teknik pass (which is also an alternative route to the Berekhi intersection), have been completed and opened. These newly constructed roads have divided the heavy traffic volume and significantly eased passage for citizens.

The 560-meter road from Parwan Third to Badam Bagh and the new 900-meter road from Badam Bagh to the Pol-e-Teknik pass are among the new roads built by the Kabul Municipality in recent years.

These roads connect the fourth, fifth, and seventeenth districts and are considered important and vital roads for the city of Kabul.

The Kabul Municipality is committed to constructing similar roads in various parts of the city to reduce congestion and prevent traffic bottlenecks.

بهره‌برداری از سرک‌های اتصالی پروان سوم–بادام‌باغ–پولی‌تخنیک؛ گامی در کاهش ازدحام

سرک‌های جدید اتصالی میان چهارراهی پروان سوم الی بادام‌باغ و همچنان از سرک بادام‌باغ الی گردنه پولی‌تخنیک که یکی از راه‌های بدیل چهارراهی بره‌کی نیز محسوب می‌شود، تکمیل و بهره‌برداری این سرک‌های نوساخت باعث تقسیم حجم سنگین ترافیک گردیده و برای عبور و مرور شهروندان، سهولت‌های چشم‌گیری فراهم کرده است.

سرک پروان سوم الی بادام‌باغ به‌طول ۵۶۰ متر و سرک جدید بادام‌باغ تا گردنه پولی‌تخنیک به‌طول ۹۰۰ متر از جمله سرک‌های جدیدی هستند که از سوی شاروالی کابل در سال‌های اخیر اعمار گردیده است.

این سرک‌ها نقطه وصل نواحی چهارم، پنجم و هفدهم بوده و از جمله سرک‌های مهم و حیاتی شهر کابل محسوب می‌شوند.

شاروالی کابل مصمم است تا به‌ منظور کاهش ازدحام و جلوگیری از گره‌های کور ترافیکی در نقاط مختلف شهر، سرک‌های مشابه را نیز اعمار نماید.

In accordance with a decree from the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, 116 prisoners have been released from the Parwan province prison in celebration of Eid al-Adha, and the sentences of several other prisoners have been reduced.

The head of the Parwan prison, Mullah Mohammad Ibrahim Haqani, stated that 116 prisoners, including nine women, were released, and the sentences of 226 other prisoners, who were incarcerated for various crimes, were reduced.

In addition, some of the released prisoners expressed gratitude for the attention of the Islamic Emirate’s leadership, describing the prison as a place of repentance and experience, and pledging not to commit any crimes in the future.

During these inspections, 61 items of expired and unauthorized medicines, 12 types of medical devices, and 20 items of expired or substandard food were collected and sent to the Parwan Provincial Public Health Directorate for proper disposal.
