Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for Iran’s parliamentary National Security Committee, called that in response to Israeli aggression against Lebanon, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz should be halted immediately and a decisive strike launched to stop further attacks. He emphasized that the Lebanese have made sacrifices on Iran’s behalf and must not be left alone, even for a moment. Twenty-three people have been arrested in connection with criminal offenses from three provinces. The Prime Minister’s Economic Deputy has announced that plans for a commercial market and a modern factory for electricity generation from waste were discussed at a meeting of the inter-ministerial investment committee in Kabul’s first district. The Deputy stated that proposals for the assembly and gradual production of tractors and agricultural machinery in Kandahar, Herat, and Balkh provinces were also presented at the meeting. The Minister of Commerce, Mullah Mohammad Isa Khan, met with the Iranian Ambassador to Kabul, Alireza Bikdeli, and discussed the development of economic and trade relations between Kabul and Tehran, the construction of railway projects, increasing transportation via the Khaf-Herat route, and transit facilities. According to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce, the meeting also included discussions about joint cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan, as well as the repair and reconstruction of railway lines, roads, and bridges. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Ghyzym Abbasov, speaking at a joint consultation meeting between Afghanistan and Central Asian countries in Kabul, initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, stated that Kazakhstan is actively working on rail services, transport, customs facilities, and investment with Afghanistan. Abbasov said that Afghanistan has significant economic and transit potential, and they are committed to its stability. The Ambassador of Tajikistan also stated at the meeting that Afghanistan's security is a priority in their foreign policy and that they are ready to expand political and economic relations with Afghanistan. For his part, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Khoshiguldy Auchov, stated that the commencement of practical work on the TAPI pipeline, railway lines, and transport infrastructure paves the way for economic cooperation to lead to other forms of collaboration. He assured that Herat will benefit from TAPI gas by the end of the current year.
