A new report by Lee Drutman at New America discusses how two reforms — fusion voting and proportional representation — can build more and better political parties.

Protect Democracy is working to expand access to fusion voting, which according to Drutman's report is "a powerful weapon against extremism in contemporary U.S. politics." We are also advancing research and policy options for proportional representation.
