I’m starting to reach the level of a former VTT colleague of mine who claimed that you get a faster overall sense of a distribution from Fortran-77 fixed-format numerical output than from any graphs.

Next I’ll probably start helping the computer by doing the multiplications in advance and reminiscing about how the UNIVAC 1108 was able to divide by zero.

Good old days.

I managed to engineer myself out of yet another life-threatening situation. Two months ago, I suffered severe biting injure to my tongue as a result of careless routine care. The tongue swell out of mouth, dried up, and inflamed so badly that doctors said there was such high probability of fatal sepsis that treatment would be a waste of resources. So I set to work on my own. Using prescription-free chemicals, I managed to get rid of the infection, and with a series of jigs made from silicone rubber and 3D printed nylon, I finally managed to force the 4 cm protruded tongue back in. Now it's safe to say: I made it, against odds. I'm not ready to give up yet, too much important stuff to do.
