Does anyone have any experience with #ElementX and/or #SimpleX as viable alternatives for WhatsApp/Messenger/Signal? Are they any good, particularly for group chats and video calls?

Hi, I am Søren (the "ø" is pronounced like the "ea" in "Earth"), a guy from Denmark. I am trying out the #fediverse to see what it is all about and support it with a bit of content. I post about #Lego and #EuropeanAlternatives (and #DanmarkSkifter in Danish), but as a person who goes through hobbies like people go through.. stuff they change often.. that is bound to change down the road. In tha last year I have been around sewing, macramé, 3d printing, and a few others. #introduction

I'm going to give #Qobuz a try as an alternative to #Tidal so there's one less subscription going to a US company. The last.fm integration seems to be working and all my music seems to be there. Wish

@Gargron@mastodon.social Have been trying it out for a few days now and like it so far. I have come across a couple of songs they didn't have in their library that were available on YouTube Music, but I can live with that. The better sound quality is completely lost on me, but I like it for being European and not Spotify.
