If this passes, the people need to hold their own elections and not recognize any "officially" elected people.

I have two sisters and a mother, and out of all of us, I would be the only one who can vote without begging county offices for papers going back to the 70's. My mother has been married and changed her name 3 times. That's three marriage certificates, three divorce certificates, her ID and her birth certificate to track her name to her birth certificate.

Normalize not carrying your phone with you.

For one, it's a tracking device. But more importantly, it will make other people do it, too. People are AFRAID of being without their phones.

Besides, social shame is a powerful motivator. The more people give a little eye roll to people who have their phones on them, the less people will want to be seen with one.

I'm not sure if I can finish this rewatch of #Daria all the way to the end, because a few episodes back I started thinking about what it would be like if they used the same script, but Roseanne was the voice of Daria, and now I'm too distracted translating every line into Roseanne's voice in my head, and all of the philosophical rabbit holes it takes me down, to pay attention to what's going on.

When I was a kid, it was a given I would get married and have kids one day. Boys stated as a matter of fact that women were worse than men at...basically everything. I went to a Valentine's Day (Friday the 13th) party, and my passive aggressive friend was there. She was all excited because she brought an activity for us all to enjoy. I really recommend rewatching Aaron Sorkin's "Newsroom" for an entertaining history of recent politics. It starts in 2011, which now seems like 800 years ago, but you can see the seeds of where we are now when you watch it.

I really think anyone struggling to put together all of what is happening--in Israel, with the Epstein files, with our democracy--should watch this video.
