The re-release of The Dark Eye (imaginatively retitled Edgar Allan Poe's Interactive Horror) raises some red flags. The company behind it have no prior releases. The rights to the game were tied up in seemingly impenetrable red tape. The Steam store page text is allegedly full of AI slop. Even the name change feels suspicious.
