Dank der Einladung von @vergesellschaftetbayern@climatejustice.social konnten wir heute in Nürnberg unser Projekt rund um die Vergesellschaftung digitaler Plattformen am Beispiel von Immoscout24 vorstellen. Wir freuen uns sehr über das Interesse und über die engagierte Diskussion im Nachgang . About one year ago we (@alineblankertz@indieweb.social and @malteengeler@legal.social ) started with @structural_integrity@kolektiva.social, the thought collective working on radically needs-based digital policy.
We have since appeared in parliament, conferences, academic journals and published on our blog.
We are not (yet!) the Mont Pelerin Society of the left - challenging the hegemony of neoliberal capitalism takes time, effort and the willingness to resist and reinvent.

New post: Read about how capitalism shaped contemporary "AI" and why any post-capitalist project needs to be very aware of the ideological foundation of "AI".
Still, vivid pictures of what a world after capitalism could look like are the fuel that keep the spark alive. And these pictures cannot be created without those whose hearts and imagination is currently taken up by the hype around “AI”. We need their enthusiasm to construct and invent the future.

The AfD, a German extreme right party, showed their true colours again, this time in yesterday‘s hearing with @alineblankertz@indieweb.social at the Digital Committee of the German parliament.
The hearing dealt with a German law that complements the EU Data Governance Act. But instead of debating that law, the AfD revealed how it intends to use data for their nationalist, divisive agenda.
The AfD called for a detailed public database on individuals who have become German citizens in order to promote their völkisch, racist worldview and to target the weakest of society.
They misuse the democratic institution of a public hearing to make suggestive, inflammatory statements against experts. This proves once more that there is no such thing as neutral policy areas: Digital policy must be anti-fascist and all civil society must stand together.
