The Pixel 8a (and presumably all > Pixel 5) under-screen fingerprint sensor works considerably better with a hydrogel screen protector rather than [even a Google-approved, €40] tempered glass unit.
Really, what's the point of a €40 screen protector? The fuckin' OLED is €100 from iFixit.
