Reflection: When former MEP and privacy advocate Patrick Breyer sends out his posts in several languages they start with the flag of the language used. French flag for french, Italian for italian, German for german and ... the EU flag for English.
And I agree. I was just in the position the other day where we discussed a language selection drop down intended for European audiences. We would start with two languages, Swedish and English, and since it's an EU site it felt very strange to use either the US (lol) or UK flags.
The "EU language" is English even though it's not the primary language of any one country currently in the EU. It's the current lingua franca :D

Inte för att jag vet om ni andra har roligt den här söndagen men själv sanerar jag ett pannrum som råttor haft fest i ett bra tag innan det upptäcktes.
När jag var tonåring arbetade jag extra som vaktmästare och lokalvårdare på ett ställe som även hyste en offentlig toalett. Det tränade mig väl inför allt annat som tydligen kan hända i livet ...

I dag trillade den i golvet och gick sönder - min absolut bästa kaffemugg. Något med utformningen av kanten gjorde att den var överlägset godast att dricka ur.
Den var oxo ett fysiskt minne från en tjejkompis som i viss mån var "the one who got away" men samtidigt inte - för det tycker jag implicerar att man tror att den personen på något sätt skulle varit ett "bättre" val än den partnern man istället valde livet med.
Mitt liv hade varit så otroligt annorlunda om jag hade sagt den sista meningen i det frieri jag påbörjade dock, eller accepterat inviten till sängen senare samma dag. Annorlunda, men inte alls lika fantastiskt som det jag levt, och lever.
27 år fick vi tillsammans. Jag saknar muggen redan.
