hi fedi! does anyone happen to know how to acquire a nice witch hat?

(i.e. people who sell them, would be willing to make them, or maybe even just instructions I can follow myself)

I desperately need a witch hat to complete my character, especially given the upcoming talks I'll be giving ^'

by "nice" I mean something that I could wear daily, something that brings joy, something that's well made, looks nice up close, and will last forever. (I can find a lot of bad hats, but what's the point...)

The Rust starts are verifiably incorrect (and look like a misinterpretation of the actual data): see the 2024 rust survey:

• only 15.5% said they consider themselves a part of a marginalized group
• out of them 54.1% are lesbian/gay/bi/queer/non-het and 35.8% are trans

so out of the whole community only ~8.4% are lesbian/gay/bi/queer/non-het and only ~5.6% are trans.

that's nowhere near the stat in the post.

for all other languages no data can be found at all, so it's all just imagined it seems.

i do understand why, but it is silly that rust's Vec<T> holds a RawVec<T> which holds a RawVecInner which holds a Unique<u8> which holds NonNull<u8> which holds *const u8. hope the pointer feels cozy being wrapped in 5 structs
