linux is garbage.

i tried to run cyberpunk for hours and didnt work. im back to windows 11 where stuff work i have dodi repack of cyberpunk,i tested it on ubuntu after i installed the drivers for my gpu. i used bottles, terminal wine, lutris, steam add non steam app with proton, heroic. and none of them worked. only wine did and the screen was black but sound was there so still useless. i searched for hours and tried everything nothing worked. i just nuked the ubuntu parition and bios place gone back to windows. launched the game and it worked fine. i will never use linux again until the gaming is fixed. people that read linux is good for gaming, dont get scammed like i did. stay on windows if you care about gaming. note: this post isnt a ragebait im serious this did happen.

why doesnt valve demand devs make linux builds? if microsoft changed their apis wouldnt new games just not work on proton?

would my gpu work ten years from now on ubuntu linux?

my gpu is gtx 1650 from laptop msi gf63. im wondering if after 10 years will the gpu still have a driver in linux ? im asking this to know if the life of gpu would be better with linux or windows. it may be an absurd question but it makes sense to me. as if the usecase its to play cyberpunk(yes it does work) on a sepfic version(cracked no updates). will that version still be useable ten years from now on ubuntu with this laptop?

what things would i lose or gain if i switched to linux?

im currently using windows 11 on msi gf63 laptop. if i used linux i would use ubuntu, bec it seems like the easiest thing. i game,i use brave browser,i pirate games and software. i also like that my hoarded pirated binaries of games and software will work even years later on windows without too much effort. i use an hp printer, and need to be able to use it on linux. i expect to be able to use the laptop and not think about the os too much, meaning i wont distro hop or try to customize it too much. im fine with the terminal,my goal of using linux is being far from malware.

Well, I’m afraid that’s where we diverge in beliefs then. With a god it is perfectly reasonable to believe that, but without one it’s not.

This life has no meaning. Absolutely none. Do what you enjoy. You don’t need a “purpose,” grind culture is toxic and will only lead to burnout. Slow down and listen to the birds sing.

do you think after the age verifcation bs computers will just have locked bios like phones and only boot windows?

i think they will. or worse yet they can make it without bios at all just device tree and all that garbage that phones do. then make it subsction based, filled with ai,cloud streamed only. no apps outside store. but thats too much orwellian stuff for now,i think what will happen is the locking bios thing for now. what do you think?
