Most accessibility solutions that depend on “AI” are mere “better workarounds”. And I don't say that “better workarounds” has no value—quite the contrary. But a ramp made from Legos is a better workaround than no ramp or a ramp made from rubble, but it is not a solution to the inaccessibility. It just papers over the injustice and inequality.

1.3.1 does not always require “correct heading levels”. Only if it is visually clear that an item is a heading at a specific level, it must be marked up as such. If it does not look like a heading, it is not required.
Heading levels are not unimportant, but lots of practitioners fail them when they shouldn’t.

Thinking a lot about how to make accessibility professionals "AI"-proof. I think the current way most acquire their expertise is fragile (learning on the job) and basic (a lot of the work can be very repetitive, so growing knowledge is difficult).
