Back when I was growing up, we spent many Saturday nights at Fresno's Kearney Bowl watching the "hardtops" race. One of these vintage cars is shown here, alongside a modern 410 sprint car. There are plenty of similarities to these old and new cars. But the design of aerodynamics (wings), 900HP engine packages and various suspension components has seen many improvements over the decades.
