Il Fatto Quotidiano: Jet Usa si schiantano in Kuwait, il Pentagono: “Incidente di fuoco amico, piloti illesi”
Alcune immagini pubblicate sui social mostrano un caccia militare Usa precipitare in Kuwait. Il Pentagono ha fatto sapere che questa mattina “tre F-15E Strike Eagle statunitensi in volo a supporto dell’Operazione Epic Fury sono precipitati a causa di un apparente incidente di fuoco amico“. Il Centcom statunitense sottoline in una nota che “durante il combattimento attivo, che includeva attacchi da parte di aerei iraniani, missili balistici e droni, i caccia dell’Aeronautica Militare statunitense sono stati abbattuti per errore dalle difese aeree kuwaitiane. Tutti e sei i membri dell’equipaggio si sono eiettati in sicurezza, sono stati recuperati in sicurezza e sono in condizioni stabili. Il Kuwait ha riconosciuto l’incidente e ringrazia le forze di difesa kuwaitiane per gli sforzi e il supporto in questa operazione in corso. La causa dell’incidente è in fase di accertamento”.

US jets crash in Kuwait, Pentagon: “Friendly fire incident, pilots unharmed”
Some images posted on social media show a U.S. military fighter jet crashing in Kuwait. The Pentagon has stated that this morning “three F-15E Strike Eagle U.S. aircraft on a mission in support of Operation Epic Fury crashed due to what appears to be a friendly fire incident.” U.S. Central Command emphasized in a statement that “during live combat, which included attacks by Iranian aircraft, ballistic missiles and drones, U.S. Air Force fighter jets were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses. All six crew members ejected safely, were secured and are in stable condition. The Kuwait has acknowledged the incident and thanks the Kuwaiti defense forces for their efforts and support in this ongoing operation. The cause of the incident is being investigated.”
