Under maritime law, particularly the principle known as the duty to rescue, there is an obligation for those at sea to assist individuals in peril, including drowning sailors. This is often referred to as the Good Samaritan Law in many jurisdictions

The Iranian warship that was sunk by a torpedo was returning from a joint exercise the #USA pulled out of on the last moment.
Per protocol joining ships were unarmed. Ships were unarmed
The murderers, #USN, knew they were unarmed, sank the ship and offered no help to the survivors.

Snow drifts filled in the 26" cut I did across the yard, to get to the composter or garbage cans.
By dark, those were filled in, and then it rained and rained, and it got wet and will be wonderful in the morning. I lie. It will be terrible.

Just measured about 10cm... average with drifting from the strong north winds. Snow persisting in eastern NS & E PEI today where north winds continue to be strongest. Western NB will be first to clear

@yhzweatherguy@mstdn.ca In places I got a level 30 mm, but drifts twice that high, and wind cleared 3 foot tunnels around vehicles and buildings (except house, which it banked against, and made it warmer)

I could never tell how much we got in total because of wind drifts. The wind struck the back and North side but rose over my knees at the doors. The lee side I shoveled clear at 10 pm and it's knee high and higher in drifts.

I was a shit disturber , I'm more of an armchair shit disturber now
But there's horror stories too. I have ADHD, I had it 30 years before they invented the term and the solution was to beat the shit out of me with a leather strap, my school companion .
But, we also had 5 guys in the class that *ran it* and made the teacher cry as early as 12 years old we did that.
But, I had teachers that didn't know the reason but stayed back to let me catch up. I remember the worst teachers and those who were worth their weight in gold.

If you offer, I drink it black, but when home, I add a teaspoon of hot chocolate mix to my coffee, to make a mocha flavor and it's very comforting
DYK, I once faked a school report about a Condor Eagle that was so convincing the teacher gave me good grades but didn't know that that bird didn't exist (Before internet obviously) and I had made up details and nesting habits, all fake, complete BS, but I tell a good story. I was meant to be a sailor Hahah
