The God has no use for the souls of those who are not devotees. Determined to convert, lure, or otherwise create new devotees to Hir throng. And they swore up and down that they had nothing to do with the spate of disappearances, honest. They had all these cool secret rites and ancient knowledge. Don't you want to know the ancient knowledge? We have some really alluring secrets... Of course Elizabeth joined to find them out. Curiosity had its hooks and she had always fallen for the bait. The rest of the cult didn't even seem to mind that she spent most of her time in the temple library, just reading the ancient scrolls. She came for the secrets, and found them by the yard. Prayers. Rites. Rituals. Elizabeth studied them all.
