O ile główną motywacją bohaterki jest zemsta, o tyle po przybyciu do szkoły zaczyna się ona mierzyć z problemami typowymi dla osób w jej wieku – relacjami rówieśniczymi, zauroczeniem i pierwszymi miłosnymi doświadczeniami oraz zrozumieniem i pogodzeniem się z własną tożsamością.
