🚀 Friday the 13th launch! A SpaceX Falcon 9 lifts off at 5:15 AM headed for the International Space Station. By ~5:25 AM it’ll be near New England, climbing to nearly 200 km in just 10 minutes. Look up and southeast before sunrise. Clearer pockets possible in GA, PA, DE, NY, VA, Southern New England & ME. Inland = tougher. #SpaceX #Falcon9 #Crew12 #ISS #RocketLaunch #LookUp

It appears that ULA VC4S USSF-87 was again subject to more solid rocket motor issues. All indications is that this SRB expelled its nozzle, notably by the direction the exhaust plume ended up going fr

This is really not okay. We have a Canadians scheduled to fly on Starliner on Vulcan including Joshua Kutryk and Shawna Pandya. Both growing up within 50km of me. I really can't see Starliner launching again. #space #iss #starliner #ula #vulcan

You may have seen pictures, but have you ever seen video of a Gigantic Jet #TLE from space? Astronaut Jeanette Epps captured this incredible sequence on July 20th, 2024 as part of the DTU/ESA Thor-Davis experiment. [WARNING: Video contains flashing lights!] https://youtu.be/xN2J7_rOBJY Credit: ESA/NASA/J. Morning, all, the International Space Station relies in part on regular unmanned ‘Progress’ resupply missions launched from Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The Soyuz launch pad there is ancient (1960s) and decidedly ropey. I wasn’t aware of this but the Soyuz launch sequence is almost literally “light blue touch-paper and retire.” A failure to secure a locking pin has destroyed that part of the complex, and the Russians can no longer launch to the #ISS. #Spaceflight #NASA #ESA https://youtu.be/gv4ClusLU2s?si=lKM7RRC8hxs67Kx5
