Astronauts Mark Kelly and Scott Kelly, born OTD in 1964, have participated in various twin-based studies of the effects of #spaceflight, although none of them involved relativistic flight to a nearby star and back https://toilet-guru.com/blog/2.html?s=mb #history

Good Morning, all, For the Artemis II flight around the Moon, astronauts will need an extra comms call: “I’d leave it for 10 minutes if I was you…” Lady astronauts will be happy; the toilet suction starts the moment the toilet lid is lifted, meaning male astronauts will be encouraged to not leave the seat up after use. #SpaceExploration #NASA #SpaceToilet #CrappyPuns #Artemis #LOO #MoonFlight #SpaceFlight #MannedSpace https://youtu.be/DaDSuCXIRms?si=cNUVS-5Dmmyv_guT

Morning, all, the International Space Station relies in part on regular unmanned ‘Progress’ resupply missions launched from Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The Soyuz launch pad there is ancient (1960s) and decidedly ropey. I wasn’t aware of this but the Soyuz launch sequence is almost literally “light blue touch-paper and retire.” A failure to secure a locking pin has destroyed that part of the complex, and the Russians can no longer launch to the #ISS. #Spaceflight #NASA #ESA https://youtu.be/gv4ClusLU2s?si=lKM7RRC8hxs67Kx5
