The family trauma that pervades THE DAY OF THE DOOR is horrifying, but coupled w the intensely creepy events that occur, this story encapsulates HORROR in a masterful, terrifying way. Laurel Hightower has written a beautiful, dark story about the Things that haunt our hearts. (Thunderstorm Bks & Ghoulish Pub)
