Räikeämmässä muodossa tätä tapahtuu tietenkin eräässä toisessa NATO-maassa, Trumpin USAssa, jossa näyttää olevan käynnissä paitsi vapaan tieteen alasajo, myös NATO-yhtenäisyyden järkyttäminen sisältä päin, eräänlainen kognitiivinen jalkaansa ammuskelu.
