Sometimes I watch it as a standalone movie, LOL! 😁 (Also, I don't know if you've noticed, but they kept writing season finales as if it might be the end, but then kept getting renewed. This is one of the most final of those, which is why the show gets reinvented a lot after this. 😎)

After SG-1 8x1&2, you can watch SG:A 1&2. After that they generally line up, so SG-1 8x3 then SG:A 1x3, and so on. (But its flexible, the continuity is only at specific points.)
