As in previous years, we were at FOSDEM 2026 as both exhibitors and speakers.

Alexandre Jorgensen and @jehan_monnier@mastodon.social gave a talk in the “Collaboration and Content Management” room, focusing on the integration of telephony within a Digital Workplace. After 25 years of evolution, the #Linphone interface has been completely redesigned for version 6.0 with one goal: to deliver a more modern and intuitive UI, while remaining suited to a wide range of use cases.

Key improvements:
- Unified authentication via SSO
- Advanced multi-account management
- Enhanced security: new verification window, encryption indicators, compromise detection, contact trust levels
- Call transfer
- Emoji reactions in chat

Do you remember the Linphone project? Developed in 2001 by Simon Morlat, this open-source real-time communication project based on SIP enables audio/video calls, instant messaging, file sharing, and video conferencing.

25 years later, #Linphone keeps growing and improving! Thanks to ongoing R&D, the interface is modernizing, and new features are being added - all while remaining #opensource , interoperable, and free.
