Today has been IRC day! I finally got around to setting up an IRC server with IRCv3 support: ergochat. Configuration was very sensible. So far seems to be running well. I've got The Lounge set up as a web interface too. The IRCv3 features are very nice, especially getting chat backlog on connection and multiple client support. Both are on the same domain, and Caddy is the proxy for all HTTP(s) on the server. To keep the TLS for the IRCd up-to-date, I have a separate container that syncs the files from Caddy to ergo. I'm trying a new desktop client: Halloy, as a replacement for poor old IRSSI, which has no support for IRCv3 yet. On mobile I'm trying Igloo. Couple of #SimonStålenhag books have just arrived. I've been meaning to get the set for a while now. I've only got about half way through "Things From The Flood", and I'm already fascinated by the lore. The vagabonds are great! One of them is featured on the book cover. Shame they've all been sent of to be demolished 😔
