I am a little confused by this, maybe I just have USA brain. I've worked office jobs for over 30 years now. No employer I've ever worked for would forbid women from wearing skirts to the office. If there's more to the story and you're dealing with gender issues then add that information.

I only have anecdotal evidence of what homeschooled people are like. I’m sure there’s a ton of nuance and some homeschooled children are probably taught by extremely intelligent, capable parents and some homeschooled children are probably taught by people who are barely even qualified to be a parent much less a teacher. That being said… Every homeschooled person I’ve ever met has been what can only be described as “off”. These people become adults with very skewed social skills and even worse, their sense of humor is not completely stunted. I think a well-rounded person needs to be exposed to the rest of the world and the people in it starting from kindergarten, and homeschooling cannot reproduce that.

40-50 smackers is an unreasonable price for lobster roll. I also wouldn’t be impressed for that price.

If you’re romantically interested in someone, say “hey, I’m romantically interested in you”. Do not have a “crush”, do not have a friend you’re secretly in love with, do not secretly pine for anyone. It is not interesting, it does not make you stronger, you are not the protagonist in a romance novel, and you are dumb if you want to try to “save our friendship”. If the other person is not interested, say “Thank you for your honesty. It’s been nice knowing you” and move on with your life. Stop wasting time. Life is too short. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Don’t waste precious time on imaginary scenarios.
