@gamingonlinux@mastodon.social Glad to see it, hopefully they didn't get harassed mercilessly into making this call though...

@killyourfm@layer8.space How are the minimum frame rates and maximum frame times looking? I get great performance on my Linux machine but there's also so much stuttering and stuff going on.

@linuxtechmore@mastodon.technology Shameless plug for fish. It's like zsh but with everything already set up for you sanely.

@benthor@chaos.social Been looking, so far the closest I've found is Plume but it's not quite ready to rock yet. Got some hopes for it though.

@mxb@prismo.news Super cool that you guys got something up and functional. Can't wait for the public release, it's looking great!

The PSP was missing an MMU and someone got a port of uCLinux running on it. Although the PSP had 32/64MB of RAM and a 222MHz processor. If 16kB isn't enough for Linux you might be left writing your own.

Finally got me that #arduino and 60 kinda blindingly bright LEDs for it to play with. Not sure where all my ideas for them went, I was sure I had some somewhere around here. For now I strung together a little breathing animation and borrowed a few bricks of #wax to tame the brightness.

It's the same site, but apparently uses a deprecated API that no one but them ever implemented, forcing everyone else to have to use an incredibly slow polyfill.

@thomas@mastodon.lemarchand.io I'd explain but sadly that's past the edge of what I know and I don't have any horses in this race either way. I know the author of each has some funny ideas and is a mildly unhinged stereotype of a rabid social activist.

@angristan@mstdn.io Cause the two aren't mutually exclusive and toxic people will always find *some* cause that lets them crucify people.

@MightyPork@dev.glitch.social They did the same thing with YouTube, they're now not even trying to hide that they're trying to use their market share to kill off the others.

@thomas@mastodon.lemarchand.io @angristan@mstdn.io Not in that thread but they recently added the Contributor's Covenant to Linux, that's the link.

@zetabyte00@mastodon.social Bit clickbaity for something that boils down to "Windows updates, amirite?" And they had so many headlines to choose from. Not even a single "Microsoft is massively leaping over boundaries literally exploiting malware dark pattern techniques to trick users into installing upgrading their PCs to Windows 10 without consent or permission and it's bricking grandma's laptop and causing $1000s in overage data charges to African rescue organizations" headline.

@gamingonlinux@mastodon.social The /r/Linux mods are pretty out there. They need to step down but they'd rather play ridiculous childish games instead.

@trendyphraseguy@lesbianschool.com Actually I just found my copy of emerald the other day. Loaded it up, works 100% except the internal battery's gone dead.
