Mark Gjøl
Coder, photographer, grump. Average Home theater nut.
Been at programming professionally since 2007, currently trying to get to keep doing it rather than getting stuck in meetings. Once was Java, dabbled in Android (Floating Image notable mention), now focused on C# and Azure. Clean, maintainable code and doing the right things right is my jazz (or techno or metal).
Posts in Danish if only relevant to Denmark, English if relevant generally.

I have a surround sound setup in my living room. I also like music. So of course #DolbyAtmos music plays a role. Fortunately #tidal has a bunch of music in atmos. Unfortunately the majority of artists (or mixers) apparently see this awesome control of 5-20 speakers as an excellent opportunity to put all the music on the center channel! Why confuse the listener with music from multiple directions when we can finally achieve single speaker mono as the gods intended?
Anyway, I have started compiling a list of what I call acceptable atmos here: https://tidal.com/playlist/6ea482de-7e13-45dd-b687-48a559d9f870
It's fairly varied, except for certain (most) types of rap, which isn't my path. So if you're that small percentage that subscribes to Tidal, if you're that fraction of those, who has a working surround setup, and finally if you're that single person out there who figured out how to stream atmos music from Tidal (I use an Nvidia Shield) - please enjoy. And recommendations are most welcome!
