@flargh@mastodon.social It was the kiddo’s introduction this week, and she loved it. But going through the archives from the 70s, I’m struggling to think who would be the similar guest stars today…? Like, who’s the Jim Nabors or Wally Boag of the 2020s?

@flargh@mastodon.social When I want to get people into DS9, I show them "Duet", and I'm not saying it's worked so far, but I keep trying! Let's plunge our characters into something unresolvable to reveal how they'll never be fully at ease!

Just watched "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night" (Star Trek: DS9 S6E17) and wow, it's been almost 30 years and this still hits like a punch in the face. One of the best Star Trek episodes ever made.

As I continue watching Alien: Earth, the other thing I absolutely adore is all the midcentury set design. I just hope it doesn't take us until the 22nd century for this to become en vogue again.
