In November 2022 WHO started to phase out the term Monkeypox to be replaced by #Mpox. Yet today I heard a consultant talking about Monkeypox to a resident doctor. I had to strongly correct them three times. I replied with a politely worded: not really my thing, area of expertise, nothing to add, very busy... Unused to rejection, they followed up with a much more pushy email.
