@luis_in_brief @rachelcoldicutt @ConnectedByData a key problem with AV deployment in public space: communities tend to be framed as “third parties” making it more difficult to demonstrate significant harm. Contrast with facial recognition. In both cases, the general population is exposed to personal data capture, public space handed over to tech etc. But only in FR case is this publicly understood as having community impact.

Short summary: the PVV victory marks the end of the Dutch consensus model of politics, as the 3 doctrines dominant since the 19th C - liberalism, conservatism and social democracy - taken together are now a minority.
