1) Watch the high destruction films of Michael Bay and Roland Emmerich
2) "We should do this in real life"

I've heard some interesting accent variations on words. When working with people from Australia and New Zealand, I've often heard the word 'data' pronounced as 'darter'.
Today, was a new one though. A South African colleague has pronounced it as 'daughter'.

One element of good manners I wish we would bring back is eating with your mouth closed.
I'm on a train into work and have just had to endure 10 minutes of schlap-schlap-schlap sounds from behind me, as the person seemed incapable of masticating with their lips together.
Someone in the office was doing it last week too.

At the weekend, I saw my first snowdrops of the year. I always mark the transition of winter, through spring into summer, by the stages of the flowers.
In my mind it goes:
Snowdrops » Crocuses » Daffodils » Bluebells
Snowdrops are the first sign that winter is waning (though it is prone to snap on occasions) and the fading of the bluebells is the conclusion of spring and that summer has arrived.

No one asks for the adverts in the first place. They are worthless.
Imagine if a pest control company asked you to pay them to get rid of the termites/hornets/[insert other pests] when they were the ones inserting them into your home in the first place.
