Are we the second generation who experienced both pandemic and industrial revolution in our lifetime?
There was a behavioural study about how human sometimes do the opposite of what their ancestors do just for the sake of it.
But I couldn't remember the details.
Anyone?
It might be a soldier who pulls the trigger, but it is the malice of a politician that deals the damage.
I don't like poor journalism and this time MIT really gets on my nerves.
Grace Huckins wrote and I quote:
"... denied an AI agent’s request to contribute to matplotlib..."
".... discover the agent had retaliated with a blog post"
It phrased in a way to suggest the AI, as a tool, itself retaliate; but it is a human-led harassment utilising AI/LLM.
A human opened the github account Rathbun, and prompted the AI (openclaw?) to retaliate with a blog post if a PR is rejected.
It might even be a separate prompt after a human discovered that the PR was rejected.
At the moment we can't tell - Unless a journalist find out the human account holder and interview him/her.
This article looked like it didn't fact-check, didn't investigate, and simply copied from other mainstream tech journals.
The "journalist" probably didn't even ask AI to check the capability of OpenClaw.
On the upside, if you still listen to radio (gosh it makes me sound old),
Radio droid is back online!
The things people will do for social media virality.
And the fucking lack of common sense to boost them.
