The #Tor network reached consensus method 35 today. This means Happy Families is officially in production! 😎

Yesterday, we saw 12004 relays in the network, 6124 of them have the legacy family system enabled, and 2576 already have Happy Families deployed!

Great work so far by the Relay Operator community! 🎉

Wrote a blog post, instead of another GitLab Snippet, on upgrading our two #Tor relays to use the new Happy Families feature that was released yesterday in Tor 0.4.9.5. All in all, it was extremely uncomplicated to set up, and maybe that can encourage more people to try it out sooner rather than later! 😎

#Tor 0.4.9.5 is out and is the first release in the Tor 0.4.9-series marked as stable. Happy Families and CGO are the two major features in this series.

David just announced #Tor 0.4.8.22, which will hopefully be our last release of the 0.4.8 series.

Tor 0.4.9.4-rc is also out, which we hope will be the last release candidate for the 0.4.9 series before we move that to stable in the next few weeks. If you're feeling adventurous, we would appreciate some testing of Tor 0.4.9.4-rc!

Just sent out an update to the #Tor relay operator community on the upcoming stabilization of C Tor 0.4.9.x. We hope relay operators with multiple relays (families) will upgrade quickly and enable the Happy Families system, so we can deprecate the MyFamily system quickly.
