A sad consequence of living in a deeply ableist over-culture is that when we have to say things like "I can't do that right now," it can feel like some kind of personal failure.
Especially when the thing in question feels big and important to our personal values.
But truthfully? From my perspective, having enough wisdom to recognize and honor our own limits is priceless success, every day of the week.
