@FinalGirl honestly at this point I don't think it's a matter of understanding for most of them, I think they understand it perfectly and are doing the thing white people do to maintain their racial innocence, they pretend not to understand so they can pretend like they're not implicated or actively participating in the oppression of it all.

– if you read the original essay that defined transandrophobia there's points being made but it's all been hopelessly hijacked by bad faith readings at this point, and the relevant parts pf the analysis the term offered are also addressed by the term anti-transmasculinity
– the term "transemasculation" was created by a non-transmasc who's expressed anti-transmasc sentiment in the past, I don't believe in anything about us, without us, especially when it comes from a nonBlack transfem who finds it easier to be in community with detransitioned transmasc people than transmascs ourselves, as we are
– the term anti-transmasculinity is an intersectional term that is grounded in Black transfeminism, and I think this is a huge reason why everyone around these parts is reluctant to actually use it and instead wanna argue endlessly about trans/misandry

Then I log onto IG and one of the Black trans women I'm moots with is like "So I might be going back to jail on my birthday because my transphobic roommate called the cops on me a few weeks back in an attempt to force me out the house"
And honestly I'm so sick of white trans people being such fucking crybabies while Black and brown people, trans AND cis, are going through the type of raw hell they'll *never* directly experience, *because* they are white in a white supremacist society/world.

And that’s before we get to the bleak, bleak, BLEAK picture of employment for Black gender minorities in the U.S. Black cis women ended 2025 with an unemployment rate of 7.5%*, and while I haven’t been able to track down current numbers for Black trans folks of any gender, past reports have Black trans folks at twice the unemployment rate of Black cis folks, more likely to live in poverty than Black cis folks, and generally experiencing higher rates of transphobia than non-Black trans people**. So at this point I think it makes more sense for me to figure out my own ~thing~ than to chase a certain kind of employment in this current fascistic atmosphere.

Fact is between shit like fleeing anti-trans legislation in my former home of North Carolina, the traumatizing ending of my last job, navigating family estrangement, the death of my hashtag (#YourSlipIsShowing) co-creator, getting my health together for gender affirming surgeries and the fun discoveries that have come with that process (hello fibroids!!), getting my mental health together and the exhausting process and even more fun discoveries that come with that (hello ARFID, hello OCD!!), watching my work with #YourSlipIsShowing be erased in real time via misgendering (sometimes thoughtless sometimes intentional), a couple of COVID infections, and discovering that the Epstein horror actually touches me directly twice over, one of them being the guy's role in the founding of the site that spurred the need for #YSIS in the first place..............yeah. Mans (me) is burnt out.

I wouldn't say 2026 has been kicking my ass *exactly*, but it has shaken me up and wrestled me down to the ground and forced me to take a real honest assessment of my current capacity, which is basically: null. I'm having trouble feeding myself regularly and keeping myself clean and somewhat verbally coherent, let alone apply to grants & fellowships/step into entrepreneurship/return to regularly writing/do any of the things I intended to spend 2026 doing, to date.
