last night during the State of the Union, the President proudly proclaimed, "We ended DEI in America!"
last week, the mayor of Post Falls City in Idaho removed Juneteenth as a city holiday and added Columbus Day. coincidentally, although I, along with others, have tried my best, I’ve noticed that Black History Month celebrations have felt subdued, mild.

Black History Month isn’t just about honoring the past — it’s about recognizing the mental health toll that bias and today’s workplace shifts are taking on Black professionals.
during Black History Month, i wanted to take the time to reflect on the economic shifts on Black workers — particularly Black women. in 2025, Black women experienced especially sharp employment declines, with estimates of more than 300,000 jobs lost over several months across public and private sectors.

this is probably one of my most reshared posts on mastodon. I’m truly in awe because posts like this, oftentimes, come with a significant amount of self-reflection. some of which people are either willing to do, or not be so keen on. I’m glad more people are showing up and truly taking time to think about what it means to possibly walk in someone else’s shoes and consider how their experiences vastly differ from someone else’s, simply because of bigotry and hate.

Can anyone else pitch in/share? I know the car saga has been a long one, but anything you can do before tomorrow is truly appreciated.
My appt is first thing tomorrow morning at Ford. The hope is to get the car reset to finish the sensor replacement and then hoping the steering is good again so I can safely drive it.

I know I’ve asked a lot if you. i’m trying to raise the minimum to get my car home. total is 3,806 for a steering rack, parts and labor.
I know the car saga has been a long one, one thing after another. this current news is going to put me out of a car for awhile. the main way I was making money. since then everything has been slow moving, regardless, I thank you for still being here.
