The full 2025 California Building Code now available. https://archive.org/details/publicsafetycode?tab=collection&query=subject%3A%E2%80%9D2025+California+building+code%E2%80%9D&sort=title Electric code still deriving. I was able to get all volumes from the state as a public records request except Electrical, which was scanned from paper because NFPA is playing "hide the code."

Today was Pliny the Younger day in Sonoma County, widely considered a national holiday around here https://www.russianriverbrewing.com/pliny-the-younger-release/ Considered one of the best beers in existence, this year is 10.25% alcohol, double (or quadruple) dry-hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Tangier, Citra, Mosaic, Nectaron, and Warrior hops. People wait overnight in the rain for this, it's a total mob scene.

After downloading district court records, we discovered a large number of bugs: disclosure of names of minor children, of condiential informants, of medical records, and *tons* of SSNs and other IDs. The courts went ballistic, they were convinced that the PACER paywall was protecting privacy and by disclosing the bug, I had blown their cover.
