The #NezCasse locomotives from rail construction and maintenance companies #Strukton and #VolkerRail are the most difficult to photograph as they do not have a regular schedule compared to cargo trains. In December I was able to photograph the 1736 near Rotterdam.

The first two "refurbished" ex-SNCB I-10 coaches for the #GoVolta service between Amsterdam - Hamburg / Berlin have been spotted outside the Brouwer workshop in Blerick.

(Time will tell what they were able to do refurbish in the short period of time. On the 19th of March the first GoVolta train should run.)

The #CertusRail HLE 27 pair. Certus is a small private operator in Belgium, mostly focusing on cargo trains. In 2024 they bought two HLE 27 locomotives from SNCB. Unfortunately, the locomotives got scrapped recently. #TrainPhoto

Does someone know if there are #OpenSource - maybe self hosted or #fediverse based - alternatives for #Pinterest? It is something I use as a photographer (yes I do other stuff next to trains 😄) for inspiration or sharing ideas, but the service is becoming rather trashy.

The moderation system sees sometimes perfectly normal pictures of clothed persons as “sexual content” and there is an increase in AI-slop.

So apparently it is now “official” that there will be an Antwerpen–Köln service starting in September this year. On VagonWeb, they can already be spotted with the train numbers 310/311/312/313. What I did *not* know is that during the summer period (01/06–31/08 — before the Antwerpen service starts in September), there will be a daily between Oostende and Köln.
