@mkivinen@toot.community Ah, and it is reittiopas.matkahuolto.fi that shows local times for Haparanda railway station. (And allows you to specify time of day for the search.) Consistency is overrated.

@mkivinen@toot.community More fun inconsistencies: When searching for buses on March 2nd from Kemi railway station to Haparanda railway station, the reittiopas.matkahuolti.fi site shows the route on the map with correct locations for start and end stops, and the couple of stops in-between, but with just straight line segments between them. For the opposite journey, it doesn't manage to correctly show the journey starting at Haparanda railway station, but screws up the route completely there. The rest of the route does follow the actual road, though. #Matkahuolto #crossBorderRail

From March there is a bus between Kemi station and Haparanda station (and back) twice a day. Yay. The schedule from Kemi to Haparanda fits nicely with trains arriving from Helsinki, but sadly not that well with trains from Haparanda. And if you are going towards Kiruna, Abisko, Narvik, several hours of wait in Boden. Did not bother checking the other direction, probably not ideal that way either. But at least, somebody (Tornio municipality) is doing something... #CrossBorderRail

So apparently it is now “official” that there will be an :de_ice: Antwerpen–Köln service starting in September this year. On VagonWeb, they can already be spotted with the train numbers 310/311/312/313. What I did *not* know is that during the summer period (01/06–31/08 — before the Antwerpen service starts in September), there will be a daily :de_ice: between Oostende and Köln. The train numbers are 1110 and 1111. #CrossBorderRail https://www.gva.be/regio/antwerpen/regio-antwerpen/antwerpen/vanaf-september-nieuwe-treinverbinding-tussen-antwerpen-en-keulen/135246620.html

@moanos@gay-pirate-assassins.de I've had success with figuring out mysteriously "unbookable" trains by calling the hotline of an involved operator, in some cases resulting in "this can only be bought

@moanos@gay-pirate-assassins.de One could also try booking with another operator, in this particular case PKP shows "Loading prices" and then does not show prices at all :D Welcome to the hell that is #CrossBorderRail bookings.

Another #PKPIC announcement: The Adriatic Express is to return for summer holidays in 2026 too, this time running 6 days a week with through cars to Koper as well as Rijeka, as well as a bus connection to Trieste with a change in Ljubljana in cooperation with an unspecified "local operator". https://www.rynek-kolejowy.pl/wiadomosci/pkp-intercity-wraca-pociag-do-rijeki-beda-tez-wagony-do-kopru-126452.html #kolej #rail #CrossBorderRail #NightTrain #Croatia #Slovenia #pkp
