Next to nothing breaks... unless you use GNOME, KDE, or some self-hosting apps - the latter one is unfortunately a deal-breaker for me, as that would require me to manually migrate my Fediverse services from YunoHost to Docker/Podman while somehow keeping the same encryption keys and HTTPS certificates. I'm still investigating how to do so.

I dunno, it does sound contradictory to stick to FB/IG/YT/etc. and drop only Twitter/X, if the intent is to keep their engagement with people on social networks. Unless they consider X, and only X, as an unsalvageable environment, with the rest still being somewhat tolerable - I wonder how long will they keep the pretense?

@QasimRashid Automatic vote registration? Nah, they need to have the ability to selectively disenfranchise voters. Automatic tax calculation? They need to extort people into financing their lobbyists at Intuit. Now that is something worth investing on, how else would they get enough cannon fodder for the upcoming wars? (My country, fortunately, does the opposite of all of the above)

@alextecplayz @jbowen I, for one, currently do a POSSE strategy - self-hosting my own Forgejo code base and having it configured to push all changes to Codeberg and GitHub, mostly for backup purposes. I might reconsider the latter, given the case.

I was confused on why would you release both a minor and major version at the same time, if it wasn't a security upgrade. Then I checked the blog and found that Krita 6 is based on Qt 6, with Krita 5.3 being effectively identical but still based on Qt 5.

Arguably, the catch is that the RAM caps at 8 GB, but that's due to the architecture of the device. (I wonder how much can it rely on swapfiles to compensate...)

Are there any plans for integration with RSS feeds? Besides of group support (in the works) and some sort of BlueSky integration (which could be skirted with RSS feeds), that's one of the few things I'd be missing to move from Friendica.

Khamenei and some of his close collaborators were killed on the attack. They're basically in a Designated Survivor situation, having to pull some third-tier lackey as their new Ayatollah for lack of better options. The regime is not dead, but it'll be easier to topple for good.
