Así que metes otro token para que se acerque un poco más. Y luego otro. Y luego otro. Y luego otro. Y cuando te das cuenta llevas dos horas metiendo tokens a la máquina para hacer algo que tú hubieras hecho solito en 20 minutos. @hongminhee I have lived in many different situations and this can't be truer. Sometimes I was in such a small town I had to take the car to buy bread. Sometimes I only take the car to do long trips to badly connected cities. Do I use the car as less as possible? Yes. Do I still own a car because it is a need on my situation? Also yes. "But you could rent a car and not own it" environmentally it would be the same. And more expensive to me.

A mi me hace gracia la gente que dice que no se puede ser influencer en el fediverso. No, perdona, lo que no se puede es abusar del algoritmo. @euklidiadas Supongo que una manera de atraer gente podría ser el desarrollo de aplicaciones o webs donde te puedas loguear con tu usuario del fediverso y que puedas ver cosas "trending" de todo el fediverso. Algo donde la gente de "fuera" pueda echar un ojo rápido para ver qué está pasando en "las redes". Qué demonios, no haría falta ni siquiera poder loguearse (aunque poder retootear y contestar estaría bien). Una web que enseñe lo "trending" de entre todos los servidores.

@euklidiadas En cambio lo de atraer a periodistas que nos citen, eso es importante. Ahora bien, encontrar "noticias" en Twitter era fácil: simplemente abrías tu timeline y te escupía cosas "trending" a la cara, quisieras o no. Encontrarlas en Mastodon no es tan trivial. Incluso la pestaña de "En tendencia" te enseña cosas diferentes según el servidor en el que estés. Seguir etiquetas tiene un límite si la gente no usa las correctas. Y está bien, pero dificulta la labor de los periodistas.

@euklidiadas Lo de los algoritmos, ojo con eso. No podremos competir jamás con los dark patterns que usan las redes con empresas capitalistas detrás. A ellos les da igual explotar la naturaleza adictiva del ser humano. Es el mismo problema de los minijuegos para móvies. Los que se niegan a usar los dark patterns (https://www.darkpattern.games) nunca se harán tan ricos como los que no les importa crear adictos. Si seguimos siendo éticos, nunca seremos tan virales, por diseño.
