@richardgunther@twit.social @mollywoodpro@mastodon.social Personal opinion - I know they're legit, but as someone that has lived with an LG induction range for 4 years, the problems they're solving are regional. And yeah, I can turn my knobs all the way around, not limited to right only. Have boost mode. Has a great digitally controlled oven with convection mode. My existing breaker from the conventional electric we replaced is 40amp, works fine. Paid 1/3 of the price for the range. Adding 220v line would never cost $4000.

@GavinCampbell@hometech.social I don't know what Aqara FP300 adjustment options look like, but the Linptech ES3 has plenty for me. In Home Assistant, you can see presences, illuminance, battery, customized property value (not sure what you would use that for), duration since presence detected, and duration since no presence detected.

@GavinCampbell@hometech.social They are great! Small, fast and inexpensive. 2.5 years claimed on a single CR2450. You have to configure via Bluetooth connection in the Xiaomi Home app, but that's no big deal. They can work local in HA direct with Xiaomi BLE integration, or via Xiaomi Gateway 3 which I've had in a box doing nothing for years until I bought these.
