I just finished Weird West. What an amazing game. The creative director, Raphael Colantonio, has never failed to disappoint. I look forward to their future projects.

A form of therapy in which you try to overcome clinically significant moral anxiety and people-pleasing by playing evil characters in RPGs.

Sometimes what I mean by "clingy" is that I can cuddle forever. It's like a fountain of dopamine and oxytocin that I don't want to clog up.

I'm not clingy in the sense that I'd be a helicopter bf and try to control everything my SO does.

I'd of course be anxious, maybe even romantically jealous, when they are away, because the prospect of losing them would feel stronger, but I'm acutely aware that those are my own feelings, and that there is a difference between my feelings and reality.

Another thing is that, while I would be very hurt if my SO was no longer romantically interested in me, there is really nothing I can do to change how they feel at that time. No amount of arguing, pettiness, or controlling would bring back their romantic feelings toward me. At that point I would focus on moving on and processing the loss.

I would also try to foster enough openness and approachability / availability that my SO would not be afraid to tell me how they feel, nor feel like they are trapped in the relationship. I'd want it so that we can still be good platonic friends, even if we happen to drift apart over time.

Rule #1: No hippopotamuses on the kitchen table. They belong in the living room. They belong anywhere that is not the kitchen table. 🤨

Ah, I might be reading too much into a probably benign post that has probably nothing to do with me.

The energy and self-control it takes to ignore it and move on with my day.

I've heard that there is an experimental feature on iPhones that allows you to control the screen with your eyes.

This is just all kinds of weird to me. Like, make sure you don't look at the eye-catchy ad on the left because then it would register in the algorithm. Also, make sure you don't look at the laugh-react button on someone's Facebook post announcing the death of their loved one. Or inadvertently like-react to things you didn't intend to. Or send a smutty text or photo message to your boss whose chat window was adjacent to your significant other's.

What a privacy-invasive, algorithm-inflating, enshittifying feature. These Big Tech companies have no scruples and know no bounds. It's fucking absurd.

Sometimes I want a new Zellij window/pane to preserve the working directory of the current window/pane. Most of the time, though, I want it to default to the home directory. I'd guesstimate that the percentage of the time I want those would be 40/60, respectively.

You could configure Zellij to set the default working directory for new windows/panes, but maybe there is a way to configure Zellij to have a particular keyboard shortcut open a new window/pane in the current window/pane's working directory. 🤔

This is p cool! I look forward to trying this out when it's considered stable enough. I'm also going to see about running it in a virtual machine now to get a sense of how it works.
